What does our location have to offer?
Porthleven is under a mile from the site and is a very picturesque fishing village with a sandy beach. Surfing is popular off the reef break (for the more experienced surfer) and the village has a local supermarket, bakery, fishmongers, bar/pubs, restaurants, takeaway food, fishing and a local craft market during the summer.
Penrose Estate is owned by the National Trust and there is a circular walk all around Loe Pool which is accessible from the site. Dogs are welcome in the estate, but must be kept on a lead in front of Penrose House. The wildlife which the pool attracts is a must-see whilst you're here, a chance to see some of Britain's favourite birds and mammals.
