Reviews of Penrose Campsite

This is a great campsite with amazing views and excellent, basic, clean facilities.
The staff were friendly, helpful and available and left you to get on with your holiday in peace.
On August bank holiday weekend it was very spaced out with plenty of room for everyone so, even with some large family groups on site, our spot was quiet and peaceful.
The walking from the site was great too with easy access to the coast, inland and Porthleven.The latter is a great village with a choice of takeaways, pubs and restaurants and plenty of people watching.

Maybe it was because it was boiling hot and I love Cornwall anyway but I think this is one of the most wonderful sites I have ever stayed in and we have been to over 100 now I would think.
2 fields and the view of the bay is just stunning. Lovely walks into Porthleven via the Loe Bar.
Toilets and showers were spot on, such good value for money, I loved it.
Nothing special for kids but plenty of space in the fields.

Great place to stay. Love the views. Best kind of camping. Warm welcome. Love to choose where you want. No allocated pitch. Good facilities which were cleaned several times a day.

This campsite is beautiful. Quiet, spacious with clean basic facilities. Exactly what it needs to be. Great starry nights to be seen when the weather's right.
Showers are hot, staff lovely and about 15 minutes walk into the centre of Porthleven with many restaurants and pubs. Alternatively, a few minute walk to quiet beaches and forest walks.
Highly recommended for a tranquil camp.

We absolutely love this campsite. This was our 5th year of returning. Great showers toilets and washing up.  The campsite is kept cleaned and tidy and fresh. The beach is minutes away and is beautiful - dog friendly too.

Love coming here each year. Lisa the owner always welcoming and her children and husband when he's not farming! Pitch where you want and take as much space within reason. Camp fires allowed. There's showers and toilets all clean and well looked after. You'll have a short walk into Porthleven where you'll find pubs and restaurants and some quaint shops. You might even get some free potatoes as the farm farms spuds. You will enjoy it here, trust me.

We booked for the first time on our holiday to Cornwall, we arrived to smiley faces and a warm welcome we set up our (extremely small tent) and had to change to a different one on the second night - we had a right giggle! 😃 The hosts never stop working, or it seems that way and it really shows - the facilities were spotless, not a bug in site which is an achievement in its self!
We could have stayed longer, but had to get back - we will return again as soon as we can, until then keep up the good work guys.

This campsite is incredible!!! We arrived on the off chance hoping to get in and luckily we did. The hosts were very friendly and the facilities were spotless. It was nice to see the toilets and showers being thoroughly cleaned early morning. We will definitely be returning here.
